Inclusiveness and Belonging Day

January 17, 2019

When interviewing candidates, how much do your own biases come into play? If you are aware of those biases, do you alter your preferences to benefit those you may not normally choose? These are the questions our Signature Program Class of 2019 was challenged to answer during their Inclusiveness and Belonging Day. Class Members participated in a variety of activities facilitated by renowned speaker on unconscious bias, Howard Ross (’91) and colleague Kimberly Dailey both from Cook Ross, Inc. Through these activities, the Class of 2019 learned about ways to notice their own biases and how it impacts decisions made within their respective organizations.
